Manchester United salvaged a draw against Tottenham in their first game post the lockdown. Their performance improved after the substitutions of Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood and this is bound to have an impact on Solskjaer’s team selection for the Sheffield United game. When Pogba came on, he slotted beside McTominay in midfield and allowed Bruno to operate in his favoured number 10 role. It looks like United’ midfield would follow this structure to allow Pogba and Bruno to play together.
This is an important game for both the sides as both of them are battling for the Champions League spots in the Premier League. Although, Chelsea are currently in fourth, there is a chance that even the team which finished 5th might qualify for the Champions League with City’s European Competition ban.
Man United Expected Starting Lineup against Sheffield
Another change we expect is, Mason Greenwood to start in place of Daniel James. Greenwood has a different skillset which allows him to be a direct goal threat unlike James who plays more as a traditional winger.
