Manchester United are on the verge of finalising a deal for Juventus star, Alex Sandro according to the Metro. Sandro who is a left back has been linked to Manchester United for a long time now, but now according to the report in Metro, a deal worth £44million is about to be finalised. Alex Sandro has been left out of the Brazilian World Cup squad and that might be one of the reasons, Manchester United have been able to push this deal to happen before the World Cup.

Signing a left back has been a priority for Jose Mourinho as Luke Shaw has repeatedly failed to impress the Portuguese coach. Ashley Young has performed admirably as a converted left back but is prone to the occasional mistake. Whether Mourinho will choose to retain Shaw as a backup or sell him in this window remains to be seen. But United fans will be relieved if the Alex Sandro deal goes through as they will finally have a reliable left back. United have struggled to replace Patrice Evra so far after the Frenchman left the club in 2014.
