Jose Mourinho has confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo are all fit for the Newcastle game. Manchester United fans will be delighted with this news, especially with Paul Pogba’s return whose injury disrupted United’s great start to the season.

Mourinho in his pre-match press conference clarified that he feels that there would be no problem in Zlatan and Romelu Lukaku playing together.

“I am excited because I have more options, I am excited because the team can be better, I am excited because I want to have players available.

“But I don’t want to make a situation of Zlatan and Romelu because it can be Zlatan and Romelu, it can be just Zlatan, it can be just Romelu or it can be just no one. I want options and I have more options now in attack.”

Mourinho has opted to use 3-5-2 formation many this season with Lukaku and Marcus Rashford upfront. Rashford’s pace and work-rate has enabled this combination to work and it remains to be seen how exactly Zlatan will fit in with his tendency to drop deep and his lack of pace being a big problem.

Of course this would mean that both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial will have to sit out, so it remains to be seen on how Mourinho is planning to use Zlatan. The Swede might not be happy with a bit part role and Lukaku certainly won’t be pleased sitting on the bench. Mourinho has a problem on his hands but it certainly a good problem to have.
