With Mohammed Salah’s impending arrival, Jurgen Klopp has built a squad full of highly energetic, pacy, skillful and hard working players. If the German coach manages to add some steel to his defence in the summer, Liverpool will definitely be challenging for the title next season. More importantly, Liverpool can look forward to a successful run in the Champions League because of the way they play. Because of their style, Liverpool tend to be successful against the big team who don’t sit back and try to have the ball as much as possible. But Klopp needs to invest in his squad as his style generally means that in the latter part of the season, players tend to get fatigue or their injuries catch up with them.

Phillippe Coutinho excelled in the last few matches in the Premier League in a deeper role. With Salah coming in, this allows Klopp to play a front three of Mane-Firmino-Salah supported by a deeper Coutinho. This system should bring out the best from the front four and if everything goes well, this front four will be hard to stop.

Ideally, Liverpool need a hard man in midfield to compensate for Coutinho’s lack of defensive strength. But the way Liverpool work hard in packs to hunt for the ball makes up for this. Still,Liverpool need to buy a central defender, a left back and a striker for their squad to be well balanced. But Klopp is known to work miracles with a limited but dedicated squad, so Liverpool fans can hope for a successful season in 2017/18.
