Xabi Alonso is one of the privileged few footballers by managing play under both Mourinho and Guardiola. He gives a brief view into the Pep’s and Mourinho’s style of play. He talked about Pep’s tactics much more than Mourinho’s, it was easy to see which coach was more influential on the former Liverpool midfielder. He mentions that both the managers will want their team to be in control,but in total two opposite ways. Pep would like City to control the possession where as Mourinho would like United to control the spaces.
It will be interesting to note how the Old Trafford crowd will react to what will be one of the few days when an English opposition has come to their stadium and has all the possession and does all the attacking.
