Chelsea have reportedly entered the race to sign Mexican Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen. Hernandez has been in scintillating form for the German side after leaving England after being told that he will have only 1% chance of playing at United. Arsenal were also linked with him but Chelsea after Hiddink has taken over are the leaders in the race to sign him according to Spanish outlet Don Balon.

Chelsea will be desperate to add a striker who can score goals at will after Diego Costa’s struggles this season. Costa,Fabregas and Hazard are the main culprits for Chelsea’s dismal performances in the league this season. All three had fantastic starts last year and Hazard even carried the team through lean patches as Chelsea comfortably managed to win the league.

Hiddink who is the interim manager for Chelsea at the moment said,“I am excited to return to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea is one of the biggest clubs in the world but is not where it should be at the moment. However, I am sure we can all turn this season around.”
