Gary Neville easily the best pundit at the moment, analysed how Manchester United’s defence has picked up two clean sheets this season.

From November 2014 till date,Manchester United boast the best defensive record in the Premier League even better than the champions Chelsea. Currently this season, United have started with a new look back four with Blind playing as CB and Darmian displacing Antonio Valencia from the right back spot. With Luke Shaw having put his fitness and injury issues behind and also with Smalling finally looking like he has matured, United look to have fixed their issues atleast in this part of the game. If they manage to retain the services of David De Gea,then they will have one of the best defence in the league if not in Europe. But before we start comparing Van Gaal’s team with Europe’s elite, there is a small matter of Manchester United having to beat Club Brugge to qualify for the Champions League. United after a break of one year from Europe are back in contention for the cup with the big ears. Qualifying for the group stages will be Van Gaal’s first task as any other result will be a big disaster for the Dutchman
