Jose Mourinho is interested in bringing Arsenal star Mesut Ozil to Manchester United in this transfer window. Manchester United are reportedly preparing a bid upto £35million for Mesut Ozil’s transfer. Ozil’s contract is set to expire this summer and it is almost certain that he is not going to be signing a new contract with Arsenal. There might be fierce competition for Ozil in the summer as even Barcelona are reportedly interested in the German star. So Manchester United might feel that it’s better to buy Ozil now with practically no competition.
With Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s inconsistent form it is clear that United have to sign a new number 10. Juan Mata also has not been able to convince Mourinho and United’s attack still seems unsettled and incoherent after 1 and a half seasons under Mourinho. A number 10 who can link the midfield and the front three will be the perfect solution to United’s current troubles. With the title already out of reach, Jose Mourinho will hoping for a good run in the Champions League and he certainly needs reinforcements in the January window for that.
