The Daily Star understands that Juan Mata is keen to stay at Manchester United and wants to extend his contract. Mata has 16 more months on his existing contract and recently bought a Spanish restaurant in Manchester which shows his commitment to the club. Rarely do people want to settle in the North-West of England which is known for it’s gloomy weather but Mata seems to have made his mind up.

Manchester United’s season suffered a major setback following their disastrous draw against Bournemouth who played the second half with only ten men. United were unable to break down their opponents as Paul Pogba turned in an atrocious performance. Pogba who has majorly disappointing United fans this season needs to cut down on his marketing and branding activities and concentrate on his football. Looking at his performances this season, the Frenchman is far from being world class and at 23 he is not young anymore. Mourinho surprisingly has deemed Pogba undroppable although he has been severe on the likes of Martial, Shaw and even Mkhitaryan.
