Marcus Rashford, after a thrilling debut season seems to be suffering from the “second-season syndrome”. Having missed an easy chance against West Ham in the Premier League, the teenager’s confidence would have taken a battering. It’s time for Jose Mourinho to show Manchester United fans that he is ready to give a chance to youth. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been missing chances for quite sometime now and it’s time for the Swede to dropped.

Rashford who excels in the striker role has been struggling in an unfamiliar left wing role where he has made minimal impact. Rashford’s pace will automatically create space for United’s attacking players who have been excellent so far. The likes of Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will have more space and time to operate in front of the penalty box as opposition defences will have to factor in Rashford’s pace and drop deep. Anthony Martial is one more young player at Old Trafford who has been struggling this year and Mourinho need the Frenchman at his best if United were to start winning matches.
