Adnan Januzaj who was literally an outcast last season under Louis Van Gaal has impressed Jose Mourinho in pre-season training according to The Sun . He has forced his way into Jose Mourinho’s plans and will probably be given many chances in the pre-season tour of China. After a breakout season under David Moyes, Januzaj has struggled to break into the first team. Last season in particular was a disaster after an ill-fated loan move to Dortmund in the first half of the season.
After returning to Old Trafford from Dortmund, Januzaj got the chance to play for the first team only for three times that too as a substitute. Van Gaal was unimpressed by Januzaj’s showboating in an U-21 game and the Belgian bore the brunt of Van Gaal’s ire.
Adnan Januzaj to succeed under Jose Mourinho needs to work on his defensive game because the Portuguese trusts his wingers to be able to go up and down the pitch both attacking and defending.
