Manchester United star midfielder Michael Carrick is in the final few months of his contract. United have so far stalled in offering him a new contract although they are expected to offer him a new deal. According to The Express, Wenger wants to bring the central midfielder to Arsenal although many Chinese clubs are also interested in signing him. Michael Carrick is still vital to United as he is their best central midfielder and has been since Paul Scholes retired.
Manchester United should desperately buy a new central midfielder but should retain the experience of Michael Carrick. Carrick and Rooney are still the few seniors left from the Fergie days. With United struggling for leadership after the dressing room purge which saw all the experience leave, the same mistake should not be repeated. Wayne Rooney also according to some reports is a target for some Chinese clubs who have some rich investors backing them. But for Rooney to move there, there must be something extraordinary on offer as the English captain still has a lot to offer. Wayne Rooney should remain at Manchester United as it is beneficial for both the parties involved.
